Laying of new carpets throughout the house

The Work

When we bought the house, there were a few tattered bits of carpet underlay throughout the house, but that was all and obviously the flooring throughout the house needed replacing.  Luckily this was one thing that Diana and I both agreed on and we decided on carpet rather than wood flooring.

It was hard to know where to start with choosing carpet for the house and after visiting a couple of carpet chains, we were still no wiser.  However, after popping into Carpet House in Twickenham and talking to the owner Gerald, we felt as though we knew a bit more about what we should be choosing.  On Monday 30 July, Gerald came round to the house to measure up and later that day we placed our order.

The Results

On Wednesday 22 August the carpet was fitted in the three bedrooms.  The rest of the house wasn't ready to have carpet fitted, but as we are moving in on Saturday 25 August, we needed the bedrooms to be done.

I went round to the house later that evening and this is how the rooms looked.  First of all here is the Main Bedroom.

We also had Cranleigh Aerials come round on Wednesday 22 August to fit the terrestrial aerial and sockets in the lounge and main bedroom.  Here you can see the socket in the bedroom.

Carpet was also fitted in Bedroom 2.

And in Bedroom 3.
